Stories
Every photograph has a story. Here you'll find field notes, behind-the-scenes experiences, and moments from a lifetime spent beneath the surface.
Why I Like the Small Stuff
For years, I looked underwater for the big thing: the shark, the turtle, the perfect wide-angle scene. Later, a 60mm macro lens taught me to slow down and see what I had been swimming past: fish portraits, textures, patterns, color, and the small lives hidden in plain sight.
In Their World
Going underwater starts long before you roll off the boat. It starts with preparation, respect, and understanding that the ocean does not belong to us. This story reflects on what it means to be a responsible guest below the surface, and why the way we move, watch, and photograph matters.
